At Food Safety Essentials, not only do we provide training for Child Care and Aged Care Sector, we also provide food safety essentials training with practical tips on how to manage food safety on an at home basis.

We provide Pro Bono training for at risk groups, including migrants who have arrived from environments very different to Australia, not only the climate and food types, but also the culture.

We provide information on food types in Australia, preparation and storage, along with practical tips e.g how to prepare school lunches.
We also run cooking classes for members of the community who are interested in learning some new skills, including senior citizens and those interested in learning how to prepare quick healthy meals.

We also provide training for community groups, including parents wanting to learn skills including,

• Identifying good quality products
• The difference between use by and best before dates.
• Storing foods safely
• Preparing foods in a safe manner
• Cooking for events
And much more.

The feedback from these participants is that they feel empowered when handling food.
