We provide Pro Bono training for at risk groups, including migrants who have arrived from environments very different to Australia, not only the climate and food types, but also the culture.
We provide information on food types in Australia, preparation and storage, along with practical tips e.g how to prepare school lunches.
We also run cooking classes for members of the community who are interested in learning some new skills, including senior citizens and those interested in learning how to prepare quick healthy meals.
All facilities providing food for the community are obliged to meet certain Australian Food Standards, we teach the community about these standards, and how to identify venues that are providing safe food based on their practices.
